Editorial Mission

The ZentrumNeueLichtkultur engages with light and its significance for society, art, architecture and the performing arts from artistic, cultural and journalistic perspectives.

As an independent editorial office, the ZNL examines, documents and comments on developments in lighting culture, in particular in event technology, stage and lighting design, scenography, architecture and contemporary art.

Its editorial work includes journalistic research, specialist articles, interviews, reviews, essays and cultural criticism.

The ZNL sees itself as a platform for open, critical and well-informed discourse. Particular attention is given to design quality, technological developments, ecological impact and social responsibility in the use of light.

Editorial work is carried out independently of the commercial interests of third parties. Opinions, assessments and journalistic positions are developed and published on the editors‘ own responsibility.

The ZNL aims to make its findings available to the general public and thereby contribute to the promotion of art, culture, education and the transfer of knowledge.

Journalistic Diligence

The ZNL’s editorial publications follow the principles of journalistic diligence. These include in particular the careful verification of information, the distinction between statements of fact and expressions of opinion, and the transparent citation of sources.

Critical reporting and cultural-journalistic assessments are part of the editorial self-image.

The ZNL takes statutory rights of reply, corrections and other justified claims into account within the framework of applicable law.

Notes on factual errors, additional information or necessary corrections can be sent to the editorial team: info@zentrumneuelichtkultur.de
